Awesome news South! Starting Monday, February 9 the library will open everyday at 6:45 and stay open until 3:30 Monday-Thursday. There is a lot you can do in the library. It's a great place to do your homework, read, use the computers, play board games, hang out with your friends, relax and more.

The Tony-award winning musical takes to South’s stage this Februray 11-14th. Featuring such classic hits as “Put On a Happy Face,” “Telephone Hour” and “A Lotta Livin’ to Do” this rock and roll musical is a hilarious satire of America’s fascination with pop icons. Featuring great singing and dancing and a host of fun characters BYE BYE BIRDIE remains one of the most captivating and popular musicals of all time! Key Club is meets in Ms. Sewards room G109 at lunch on Monday



Congrats to our South Wrestling team who finished 2nd this past weekend at the Alaska State Championships. South scored a school record 255 pts. and put 7 wrestlers into the State Championship match and came away with 2 Individual State Champions. Matt Glover, Gavin Alvarado, Noah Ottum, Rami Pellumbi, Zach Ritchie, Gabe McSharry, and Abraham Correa-Medina all made the State Finals match. Gavin Alvardo got a pin in his match to win his 2nd State Championship and Abraham Correa-Medina won a hard fought match 7-4 to win his first State Title. Congrats to all of our wrestlers on an outstanding season. Coach Ritchie also won the Alaska Wrestling Coach of the Year!
