Goals are created in order to track student progress. There are two components to goals: educations goals and records. This of this as a parent child relationship. Goals are the parent while records are the child. Records show progress on a specific goal and show the milestones taken.

Education goals are found at two places on the CMS, Under the "Dashboard" tab and under the "Education Goals" tab. The main difference between these two displays is the ability to add goals. Goals may only be added on the "Education Goals" tab and may not be added from the dashboard.

Goals are found at the bottom table of the dashboard page. Directly above the goals table, there is a graph showing how many goals the student has completed. You may hover over parts of this graph to show details about the number of goals completed and incomplete.

Clicking this icon will show a dialog asking you to add the goal text. Click submit to add your goal and a spinner will notify you that the changes are being processed. If the page fails to refresh, showing the new goal, press the "Refresh Case" button refresh your view.

Please note that goals are limited to 1000 characters each and there may only exist 25 goals at a time on one case.

Once you add a goal, multiple options and actions will be available for that goal. In particular for this section, you will be able to change the status of that goal from incomplete to complete and vise versa.

As shown below, an incomplete goal will show a circle that is unfilled while a complete goal will show a circle that is filled.

Clicking the "unfilled check circle" will change the status of the goal from incomplete to complete. And clicking a "filled check circle" will revert the status back to incomplete. You will be notified with a dialog once the change has been made.

Viewing Linked Records

Records allow goals to hold more information regarding the status of that goals completion. An example could be the goal of securing a job. A record could be linked to that goal stating that the student applied for a job or the student got called back for an interview. Records allow more in-depth details on goals.

While records are added from the "Records" tab, they can be viewed from the "Goals" tab and the "Dashboard".

Clicking the below icon on a specific goal will pull up a dialog showing all attached records.
